Please read the following carefully and sign below to acknowledge your understanding and agreement.

  1. Animal Welfare First
At Fluffy Cuts, we adhere to professional industry standards and prioritise the welfare of your pet above all else. In cases where de-matting may cause distress or pain, it may be necessary to groom your pet shorter than originally requested to ensure a painless and humane experience. Your pet’s comfort and safety will always come before aesthetic preferences.
  2. Matting and Skin Conditions
Severely matted coats can conceal underlying skin conditions, injuries, or parasites. Fluffy Cuts is not responsible for any pre-existing conditions or injuries that are discovered during grooming. Shaving a matted coat may result in skin irritation, redness, or minor nicks due to the close proximity of the matting to the skin. After removal of severe matting, it is common for a pet’s skin to appear patchy or uneven — this will usually improve as the coat grows back.
  3. Use of Equipment and Restraints
We take every precaution to securely and comfortably restrain your pet using industry-standard grooming equipment designed to prevent falls and ensure safety. However, due to the unpredictable or occasionally irrational nature of animals, Fluffy Cuts cannot be held liable for injuries resulting from your pet’s own actions (such as jumping, twisting, or sudden movements) during the grooming process.
  4. Aggressive or Dangerous Animals
Owners must inform us if their pet has a history of aggression, biting, or anxiety-related behaviour. Fluffy Cuts reserves the right to refuse service or take appropriate precautions (such as the use of a muzzle or additional handling support) to ensure the safety of both staff and animals. If your pet’s behaviour poses a risk and results in injury or damage to staff, equipment, or property, you may be held responsible for associated costs. In certain cases, grooming may be stopped if continuing could risk injury to your pet or our groomers.
  5. Health and Vaccinations
All pets must be up to date with vaccinations, including protection against parvovirus, distemper, and other common canine diseases. Owners must disclose any known medical conditions, allergies, or sensitivities prior to grooming. Fluffy Cuts cannot be held responsible for adverse reactions that occur due to undisclosed health conditions, allergies, or pre-existing medical issues.
  6. Parasites
If fleas, ticks, or other parasites are found on your pet during grooming, a special cleansing treatment will be administered to remove them, and an additional fee will be applied. A sanitation charge may also be added to cover the cost of disinfecting the salon and equipment. We strongly recommend that all pets remain on a regular flea and parasite prevention programme to help avoid additional charges and maintain salon hygiene.
  7. Missed Appointments and Cancellations
We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. Missed appointments or late cancellations may incur a fee equivalent to the cost of the booked service. Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in refusal of future bookings. Some appointments may be subject to approval or change depending on the pet’s condition, temperament, or staff availability.
  8. Photography and Media Release
Fluffy Cuts may take photographs of your pet before, during, or after grooming for record-keeping, quality control, and promotional purposes (for example, social media or website use). If you do not wish your pet’s images to be used publicly, please inform us at the time of booking or arrival.
  9. Personal Items
Please remove collars, leads, harnesses, clothing, or accessories prior to grooming. Fluffy Cuts is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or misplaced personal belongings left on your pet or brought into the salon.
  10. Satisfaction Guarantee
Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are unhappy with any aspect of your pet’s grooming, please inform us within 24 hours so that we can review and, where appropriate, make adjustments. After this period, we cannot guarantee correction free of charge, as the pet’s coat condition may have changed.
  11. Payment Terms
Payment is due immediately upon completion of the grooming service. We accept cash, debit, and major credit cards. Prices may vary depending on the condition of your pet’s coat, size, temperament, and any additional services required. Quotes given before grooming are estimates and may be adjusted once your pet’s condition has been fully assessed.
  12. Limitation of Liability
Fluffy Cuts will not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that may arise from grooming services. This includes, but is not limited to, stress-related issues, allergic reactions, or the aggravation of pre-existing medical conditions. Our groomers always act with care, professionalism, and within the scope of reasonable grooming practices.
  13. Emergency Situations
In the event of a medical emergency during grooming, Fluffy Cuts will make every reasonable effort to contact the owner or designated emergency contact. If the owner cannot be reached promptly, we reserve the right to seek veterinary treatment for your pet at the nearest available clinic. The owner is responsible for any veterinary costs incurred.
  14. Abandonment Policy
Pets must be collected at the agreed-upon pick-up time. If a pet is not collected within a reasonable timeframe, additional boarding or care charges may apply. If repeated attempts to contact the owner fail, the situation may be considered abandonment under the Animal Welfare Act 2006, and the pet may be rehomed through appropriate channels after reasonable notice.
  15. Acknowledgement of Risks
Grooming procedures involve certain inherent risks, including but not limited to minor cuts, nicks, scratches, clipper irritation, or stress-related reactions. While every precaution is taken to ensure your pet’s safety and comfort, by signing below you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree not to hold Fluffy Cuts or its employees responsible for any such incidents, except where caused by proven negligence.
